Submission of Manuscripts

Authors of contributions accepted for oral presentation during the Symposium are encouraged to submit their manuscripts to VACUUM.

Submission to VACUUM proceeds online. You will be guided stepwise through the creation and uploading of your files. Online submission via Editorial Manager can be found at:

The type of paper should be “regular article” or “short communication. Full Author Information Pack is available at http://www.elsevier.com/journals/vacuum/0042-207X/guide-for-authors.

It is not a Special Issue; any papers will be handled as regular submissions to the journal. If relevant, please add a footnote on page 1 stating: „Paper presented at the 12th Symposium on Vacuum based Science and Technology”.
